BONGANI MOUNTAIN LODGE is ideally situated in the shadows of the Malelane Mountain range in 8 000 hectares of Mthetomusha Game Reserve, on the south western border of the world renowned Kruger National Park. It is a low-risk malaria destination due to its altitude where you can experience the Big Five including lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Walk ancient paths once used by the San (Bushman) people with over 250 San rock art sites, estimated to be 1 500 years old, the greatest concentration of rock art per square metre on earth.

Bongani will not be held responsible for any liabilities or accidents at the pools. Bongani Mountain Lodge is situated in a sub tropical area that contains a variety of mosquitoes that carry different strains of malaria. Although the Lodge is in a low risk area, it is the company’s sole and absolute responsibility to ensure that all guests, tour guides, drivers and the like consult with their doctor, to ensure that all necessary precautions against malaria are timeously taken. There are no fences around the lodge to prevent animals from wandering around at will. Uniformed security guards monitor animal activity around the lodge; however we request that you exercise caution when walking around. The guards are available to walk you to and from your room in the evenings.
