There are 12 camping sites, which are about 10m x 10m & each site is clearly demarcated by drainage with each site being numbered. Each site has its own braai area with a light at the braai that can be switched on and off and a supply of wood underneath the braai table and a dustpan right next door. There is an area in the campsite where where extra cut up fire wood under shelter can be collected for free if needed.
The ablution facilities have 2 showers with a glass pivot door and a changing area, 2 toilets and 2 basins for the females as well as the same for the males including a urinal for the men. The floors are of black slate tiles. The basins are modern with mirrors above each basin and an water tight plug point with a mirror in both the males and females sections.
Each site has their own socket outlets (the round blue plug as by law) and is protected by it’s own 15Amp circuit breaker with an earth leakage. Each site also has it's own tap for drinking water etc. but not for washing oily items.
There is a central area to do the dish washing etc., with a fridge/freezer, urn and a table top for a working area. There are also electric points in this central working area.
The camping area is lit up with lights at about every second site making it a little more homely and visible.
If any of you are fishermen you are welcome to fish for Trout on the one dam or Currper on the other dam which are on the farm. The cost to fish (catch and release)is R50/rod/day and to hire a rod is R50/day. If you want to take the Trout you must pay R45/kg.
There is a Sauna close to the ablution facility.
