A stay at this funky Klein Karoo hotel is an experience that can’t be missed! Just off the magnificently scenic Route 62, only 2.5 hours from Cape Town (en route between Cape Town and the Garden Route / Cango Caves), you’ll find the Barrydale Karoo Hotel nestled in the sun drenched valley of the Langeberg Mountains. Even in winter the day time temperature is moderate.
The hotel has 15 rooms so it’s easy enough to book the whole hotel and fill it exclusively with your friends for a special occasion or just a good party. We have a variety of catering options available and can tailor-make a weekend to suit your occasion. We have a piano, a CD player, DVD and even a turntable with a great selection of vinyl records in the bar. Guests are also invited to bring their own vinyls and play DJ themselves!
There are plans afoot to restore the Belanti, the beautiful old cinema on the hotel premises. This will be available for private functions plus it will provide a live music venue and an annual blues festival is on the cards. Until the Belanti is ready there are movie nights held in the pub every 2nd Sunday night where classic movies and popcorn are enjoyed by all.
