Starling Village backpackers started in November 2005. We started revamping the property and buildings using only recycled building materials and created a special place for travellers to visit and explore. “This country style hostel is South Africa’s favourite backpackers. Superbly situated with easy access to the city, forests and the gorgeous beaches in Plettenberg Bay known as the jewel of the Garden Route, it’s a super-organized, friendly, fun and home to many travellers. The swimming pool known as the tank faces the beautiful sunsets. What makes the meals so special is the love we put in it. Braai’s (barbeques) and Potjie’s (Traditional meal cooked in a three legged pot) are not to be missed.
