Clairewood, a 16-hectare estate, is a place of quiet contemplation, where silence and solitude is measured by the harmony and tranquility of the Outeniqua Mountains and surrounding indigenous forest which provides habitat to nearly 200 species of birds and wildlife such as monkeys, baboons, bushbuck, porcupine, bushpig and occasional otters. Clairewood is situated in Wilderness which lies in the heart of the Garden Route, and is only 5 kilometers from vast stretches of beach. The area is one of the most diverse and scenically attractive areas in the Garden Route and is the place "Where the forest meets the sea".
