The Van der Post Guest House / Artist Retreat is a well-equipped self-catering unit that was first taken into use in 2002. It is open for use of the public when artists - academics - vocalists/songwriters - writers and other creative spirits are not residing in the guest house.
Well-known people such as Christina Landman - Coenie De Villiers - Gillian van Houten - Johan Rossouw - Mangosutho Buthelezi - Pieter Fourie and Ruda Landman have already paid a visit to this center.
Meals are available at the Van der Post Restaurant and Tea Garden on appointment. You are also welcome to visit the museum that exhibits some personal items of Van der Post - i.e. a library and a desk of his.
